Warehouse Assistant

We are looking for a Warehouse Assistant to work in a large lumber and building products distribution center. This is a full time, permanent position with indoor and outdoor work areas, handling and sorting lumber and related building materials. Forklift driving experience an asset, but not required. Forklift training will be provided on site. Duties include, but are not limited to: Order picking of lumber and related building materials Sorting lumber and preparing custom orders under deadlines Loading and unloading flatbed trucks and trailers Maintaining a clean and safe work environment Requirements: Basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide) Basic English writing skills Ability to work overtime when required (overtime pay provided) Hours: This position consists of two rotating shifts, one week at a time. Shift 1 - Monday to Friday - 6:00am to 2:30pm Shift 2 - Monday to Friday - 9:30am to 6:00pm Compensation: Starting wage $22 per hour, potential to increase after probationary period Additional earnings growth potential based on expertise and specialized positions Extended Health Benefits package available after 3 months Annual wage increases Annual safety shoe and boot allowance We appreciate all applications, however only those candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
