Warehouse Assistant
Millworks By DesignWarehouse Assistant MBD is seeking a reliable, organized, and hardworking Warehouse Assistant. You will be performing an array of daily functions associated with warehouse organization, such as receiving material, stocking shelves, pulling inventory, filling in-house field orders, loading/unloading Company truck and assisting carpenters in our fabrication shop. WHAT YOU'LL OWN Receiving and processing stock and materials. Carefully open crates, containers and unload material. Filling order requests from field personnel. Help load and unload the Company delivery truck daily. Accompany Company driver on pick-up/deliveries when needed. Drive the Company truck when needed and make deliveries/pick-ups when needed. Maintain safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, workstations, warehouse floor neat and clear of debris. Take out warehouse trashcans daily. Sweep and dust daily, mop when needed. Maintain inventory control by closely monitoring stock and reporting when items need to be reordered. Maintain equipment inventory control by noting incoming and outgoing equipment numbers and making sure they are entered into our system for accountability. Wear proper safety equipment (Personal Protective Equipment – PPE) when required. Provide support for company main office through general tasks when requested and daily waste removal throughout. WHAT IT TAKES High School diploma or equivalent preferred. California Driver’s License and clean DMV record. 5 years of general work experience preferred. Good communication, organizational, time management and mathematical skills a must. Inventory and data entry skills a requirement. Physical Demands Regularly use hands and fingers to perform duties Regularly lift and/or move objects of 30–50 lbs. and occasionally more than 60 lbs. Frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, sit, and climb Comfortable working at heights and climbing a ladder WHAT WE OFFER Competitive Base Pay $20.00 - $24.00 per hour DOE Performance Pay (Variable compensation tied to business results) Benefits Package - Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, 401(k), paid holidays, sick time, vacation Schedule - Full Time, non-exempt Location - On-site in Newbury Park, CA - Monday through Friday Start Date - Immediate HOW YOU'LL GROW This role is designed to grow with the company.
