Warehouse Assistant
Woolace ElectricOverview This position is responsible for receiving, organizing, storing, and issuing the electrical materials, tools, and equipment that keep our field crews supplied and our projects on schedule. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, keeps an accurate count, and takes pride in a well-run warehouse. Responsibilities Receive incoming shipments and check them against packing slips and purchase orders; report shortages, damage, or incorrect items. Organize and maintain the warehouse and yard, including wire reels, conduit, fittings, gear, fixtures, and other electrical materials, with clearly labeled storage locations. Pull, stage, and load material for job sites from material lists and pick tickets. Maintain accurate inventory records, perform regular cycle counts, and enter receipts, transfers, and usage into the inventory system. Track tools and equipment checked out to crews and job sites; coordinate repairs, maintenance, and returns. Process returns to suppliers and returns of unused material from job sites back into stock. Deliver materials and equipment to job sites as needed using company vehicles. Keep the warehouse and yard clean, safe, and in compliance with company and OSHA safety requirements. Communicate with project managers, foremen, and suppliers about material status, backorders, and delivery timing. Perform other warehouse and operational duties assigned by supervisor. Experience/Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (required). Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record (required). Forklift experience (preferred); willingness to be trained and certified (required). Experience in a warehouse, inventory, or electrical supply setting (preferred). Familiarity with electrical materials and equipment (preferred). Basic computer skills for inventory entry and email. Physical Requirements Regularly lift and carry up to 50 lbs; move heavier items with equipment or assistance. Stand, walk, bend, and climb ladders for extended periods.
