About Flourist Flourist is an established Mill + Bakery located in East Vancouver. We are a community-focused business centred around traditional flour milling, high quality baking, and an ethical, traceable food supply chain. We work directly with Canadian farmers to source organically grown grains, which we stone mill fresh in Vancouver for our bakery, retail customers, and home bakers across Canada. We're looking for a reliable, hardworking, and organized Warehouse Assistant to join our team. About the Role This is a hands on position supporting the daily operations of our mill and warehouse. The role primarily involves packaging flour, grains, and other dry goods, preparing products for distribution, and assisting with general warehouse duties. We're looking for someone who enjoys physical work, pays attention to detail, and takes pride in keeping things clean, organized, and running smoothly. The ideal candidate is dependable, efficient, and comfortable working independently as well as part of a small team. Key Responsibilities Packaging + Production Weigh, package, seal, and label flour, grains, and other dry goods. Ensure products are packaged accurately and meet Flourist's quality standards. Prepare finished products for storage, distribution, and customer orders. Maintain clean and organized packaging stations. Assist with general production and packaging tasks as required. Warehouse + Logistics Receive, move, and organize products, ingredients, and packaging supplies. Assist with inventory organization and stock rotation. Pick, pack, and prepare orders for delivery or pickup. Load and unload products and supplies. Complete occasional local deliveries and pickups using the company vehicle. Support other warehouse and operational tasks as needed. Cleaning + Safety Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse and production environment. Follow established food safety and workplace safety procedures. Complete regular cleaning of equipment, workstations, and storage areas. Handle products and equipment safely and responsibly. Qualifications Previous experience in warehouse work, food production, packaging, or a similar environment is an asset, but not required. Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record required. Comfortable performing physical work, including standing for extended periods and regularly lifting and moving bags of flour, grain, and other products. Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately. Reliable, punctual, and hardworking. Ability to work independently and efficiently. A positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed. Good communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
