Warehouse Assistant
ConfidentialWhat You'll Do Order Picking & Shipping Pick customer orders accurately and efficiently. Verify product numbers, quantities, and order details. Pack orders securely and prepare them for shipment. Print shipping labels and prepare orders for various carriers. Process returns, exchanges, and damaged products. Ensure all outgoing orders are accurate and properly packaged. Receiving Receive and unload incoming shipments. Verify products against purchase orders and packing slips. Inspect incoming shipments for damage or discrepancies. Enter received products into the inventory system. Label and organize incoming inventory. Report shortages, damaged products, or incorrect shipments. Order Processing Process customer and internal orders. Prepare orders for picking and shipping. Communicate inventory shortages or order issues to the appropriate team member. Assist with shipment tracking and resolving shipping issues. Ensure orders are completed accurately and within required timelines. Inventory & Warehouse Organization Maintain accurate inventory counts and product locations. Assist with regular inventory counts and cycle counts. Stock and organize products throughout the warehouse. Monitor inventory levels and report low-stock items. Ensure products are properly labelled and stored. Help maintain an organized and efficient warehouse layout. General Duties Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse. Load and unload deliveries. Safely operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment. Break down and dispose of packaging materials. Follow all company health and safety procedures. Assist with warehouse projects and other duties as required. Identify opportunities to improve warehouse organization and efficiency. What We're Looking For Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, or order fulfillment experience is an asset. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good organizational and time-management skills. Reliable and punctual. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Basic computer skills and willingness to learn inventory/order management systems. Good communication skills. Ability to read and understand packing slips, purchase orders, and shipping documents. Forklift experience or certification is an asset. Valid driver's licence is an asset. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs (23 kg) . Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Frequent lifting, bending, reaching, and moving of products. Ability to safely perform repetitive warehouse tasks.
