We’re looking for an experienced, hands-on manager to lead our approximately 60,000-square-foot warehouse and team of 20 warehouse employees and drivers. We need someone who takes ownership, earns the team’s respect, and keeps orders accurate and deliveries moving. You should be comfortable directing the floor, holding employees accountable, and stepping in when the operation needs help. What You’ll Own Daily Operations & Team Leadership Lead daily warehouse and driver operations, including receiving, put-away, picking, loading, and delivery coordination. Assign responsibilities, set clear expectations, and adjust staffing to meet daily workload. Manage scheduling, attendance, training, and employee performance. Participate in hiring and onboarding; coach employees and address performance issues promptly. Stay visible and involved on the warehouse floor. Inventory & Warehouse Organization Own inventory accuracy through cycle counts, discrepancy investigations, and consistent receiving and picking procedures. Keep products organized, properly labeled, and stored in locations that support efficient picking. Reduce mispicks, product damage, missing inventory, and unnecessary handling. Maintain clean aisles, organized docks, and a warehouse that is ready for the next shift. Drivers, Loading & Deliveries Coordinate driver assignments and delivery schedules with the office. Ensure trucks leave with accurate orders, secure loads, and complete paperwork. Respond to delivery delays, staffing gaps, and loading issues. Coordinate vehicle and equipment maintenance needs and follow up on reported problems. Safety & Accountability Enforce safe forklift operation, loading practices, and warehouse procedures. Ensure required equipment checks are completed and hazards are corrected promptly. Track order accuracy, on-time departures, inventory discrepancies, productivity, and overtime. Communicate problems early and bring practical solutions to ownership. What We’re Looking For At least 6 years of warehouse supervisory or management experience, preferably in distribution or wholesale. Experience leading a team comparable in size to ours. Strong working knowledge of receiving, shipping, inventory control, and cycle counting. Experience coordinating delivery drivers or local distribution operations. A firm, fair leadership style and the ability to handle difficult conversations professionally. Comfort using warehouse or inventory software, email, and basic spreadsheets. Forklift operating experience and a strong commitment to safety. Reliable follow-through, sound judgment, and the ability to prioritize in a busy environment. Experience with packaging, foodservice supplies, or grocery distribution is a plus. What Success Looks Like Your team knows what needs to get done and follows through. Orders are picked correctly, trucks leave on time, inventory is dependable, and the warehouse stays organized. You resolve routine problems independently and keep ownership informed. Compensation & Schedule Annual base salary: $75,000–$95,000, based on experience and qualifications.
