Warehouse and Inventory Manager
Howl CampfiresWarehouse and Inventory Manager About Us HOWL Campfires exists to keep the forest AND the campfire alive. We believe sitting around a fire in the woods is good for people, so we developed our patented BarCoal™ Technology to offer the heat of a wood fire in a forest-safe, burn-ban-approved propane system. We also invented the world's most fuel-efficient flame burner: A-Flame™ Technology. It's a good start, but we're just getting warmed up. We’re hiring a hands-on warehouse and inventory person to keep parts moving and inventory accurate to support our growth. You’ll operate a forklift, receive and count incoming parts, label and organize stock, and help the production team find the right materials when they need them. The role combines warehouse work with assembly or part rework when receiving and material movement are caught up. We’ll define those additional duties through training. As our second shop comes online, we expect material movement between sites to become a larger part of the job. What you will do Operate a forklift and move materials using approved equipment and site procedures. Coordinate receiving, put-away and material transfers with the shop team. Check delivered parts against the packing slip or bill of lading, count the actual quantity, and identify damage, incorrect parts or shortages. Create a receiving record when a shipment has no packing slip. Separate and label problem items as HOLD, report discrepancies, and keep them out of available inventory until they are resolved. Label every part container with the part number, description, purchase order reference, quantity, unit of measure, receipt date and location. Keep labels current as quantities change. Store parts in assigned, labeled locations; keep part numbers separate and aisles and receiving areas clear. Make stock easy to find and count. Own accurate physical counts and maintain the receiving and location records needed by the inventory system. Work with the business administrator to reconcile receiving paperwork, purchase orders and system records. Organize red-tagged parts and preserve their history after technical review. Keep return and rework items identifiable and support the handoff through resolution. Complete trained assembly or rework tasks when warehouse priorities allow. Suggest practical improvements to receiving, storage and counting procedures. What you bring Hands-on forklift operating experience and careful material-handling habits. Experience receiving, counting or organizing inventory, with close attention to part numbers, quantities and units of measure. The ability to follow written procedures, keep accurate records and raise discrepancies promptly. Comfort using inventory software or trackers and learning the systems used by the team. Practical mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn assembly and rework tasks are helpful. What good work looks like Receiving is complete when parts are verified, labeled, stored and recorded, with discrepancies clearly separated and reported. Physical counts and records agree, and return or rework items move through a visible process without losing their history. Compensation & Benefits Starting at $23 per hour depending on experience.
