Warehouse and Facility Supervisor

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Warehouse and Facility Supervisor to lead our warehouse operations and ensure the smooth functioning of our distribution center. In this role, you will oversee daily warehouse activities, manage team members, and coordinate logistics to optimize efficiency. Your leadership will drive process improvements, maintain inventory accuracy, and uphold safety standards. Responsibilities Supervise daily warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, materials handling, and inventory management. Lead and motivate a team of warehouse staff, providing clear direction and managerial communication to promote productivity and safety. Oversee the operation of material handling equipment such as forklifts and RF scanners, ensuring proper use and safety compliance. Implement process improvements using lean management principles to enhance workflow efficiency and reduce waste. Maintain accurate inventory control through regular cycle counts, inventory management systems (including AS400), and warehouse management systems. Coordinate logistics with third-party logistics providers (3PL) and manage distribution center operations to meet delivery deadlines. Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including heavy lifting procedures and proper use of equipment, fostering a safe work environment. Qualifications Proven experience in warehouse supervision or warehouse management within a distribution or logistics environment. Strong knowledge of warehouse distribution processes, inventory control, shipping & receiving, and materials handling. Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and RF scanners. Ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts safely; forklift certification is preferred. Excellent team management skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and communicate effectively with staff at all levels. Familiarity with lean management techniques and continuous process improvement strategies. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory management and warehouse operations.
