We are seeking a passionate, empathetic, and collaborative individual to join our team in a volunteer capacity. Learn more: https://missingpiecessupportgroup.org PRIMARY PURPOSE The Care Package Supply & Logistics Coordinator serves as the vital engine of our Care Package Program. In this hybrid/in-person Houston role, you will oversee incoming supply pipelines from community donation drives and handle the physical inventory management, package assembly, and fulfillment for local families experiencing loss. QUALIFICATIONS Enrolled student at a Houston-area college or university. High attention to detail, strong time-management, and organizational skills. Experience with Google Workspace (Sheets, Forms, Gmail) or Excel. Compassionate communication style and empathy for families in grief. Ideal for majors in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business Administration, Public Health, or Healthcare Administration. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES Inventory & Intake: Track incoming Care Package Request Forms and maintain inventory logs for comfort items in Houston. Supply Drives & Partners: Coordinate with local Houston churches, schools, and businesses hosting donation drives to maintain a steady pipeline of supplies. Fulfillment & Assembly: Pick, prepare, assemble, and ship care packages based on specific recipient needs. Logistics & Tracking: Coordinate shipping (USPS) and local drop-offs, ensuring accurate delivery tracking and prompt responses to recipient inquiries. TIME COMMITMENT Volunteer role with flexible hours (estimated 4–6 hours per week) In person/Hybrid, with occasional virtual meetings as needed Ideal for individuals seeking experience in nonprofit development, fundraising operations, or admin support.
