Volumetric Concrete Truck Driver

Company Overview Southern Development & Construction, Inc was established in 1994 and is a growing private contractor concentrating on complete site development services (underground utility, earthwork, and paving) in the Central Florida area for subdivisions, apartments, commercial and public projects. We’ve recently invested in brand-new volumetric concrete trucks and are seeking a skilled driver/operator to join our growing team. Summary We are looking for a safe, dependable, and experienced driver to operate our new volumetric concrete trucks. This role requires both professional driving skills and hands-on operation of the volumetric mixing equipment to deliver and produce concrete to customer specifications on-site. Responsibilities Safely drive and operate volumetric concrete trucks to various job sites. Load, mix, and dispense concrete according to required specifications. Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of the truck and equipment. Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of the truck and mixer. Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and job site personnel. Follow all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety guidelines. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) required. Requirements: Valid CDL Class B or Class A license with clean driving record. Proven experience operating volumetric concrete trucks (or ready-mix trucks with willingness to train). Knowledge of concrete mixing and delivery processes. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in outdoor conditions. Strong attention to detail and safety awareness. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with volumetric trucks Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting minor equipment issues. Customer service experience in construction-related deliveries.
