Vice President, Supply Chain Company Overview An international organization seeks an experienced supply chain executive to lead its end-to-end global operations. The company serves international brands through integrated product, distribution, and supply chain solutions, with a focus on customer service, operational excellence, and sustainable growth. Position Overview The Vice President, Supply Chain will define and execute the global supply chain strategy, overseeing distribution, sourcing and procurement, logistics and third-party logistics providers (3PLs), inventory management, planning, risk management, and sustainability. As a member of the executive leadership team, this leader will translate business strategy into scalable operational capabilities, improving service levels, financial performance, and supply chain resilience. The position requires substantial global supply chain leadership experience, including direct operational experience in the United States and a deep understanding of North American freight, trade lanes, regulatory requirements, and distribution networks. Key Responsibilities Global Strategy and Transformation Develop and execute an end-to-end supply chain strategy aligned with business objectives, growth plans, and customer requirements. Lead global network optimization, standardization, automation, and digital transformation initiatives. Establish governance, operating processes, and performance management practices across regions. Partner with executive leadership on business strategy, capital planning, and operational decisions. Logistics, Distribution, and Fulfillment Oversee global distribution centers, warehousing, transportation, freight, and 3PL partnerships. Optimize network design, infrastructure, capacity, and asset utilization to support scalability and omnichannel requirements. Manage logistics partnerships and contracts, balancing service quality, cost, and operational flexibility. Establish consistent performance standards to improve fulfillment, cycle times, and customer satisfaction. Planning and Inventory Management Lead demand and supply planning, aligning forecasts with operational capacity and financial targets. Improve forecast accuracy, inventory turns, inventory lifecycle management, and total landed cost. Develop standardized planning processes that balance service levels, working capital, and operating efficiency. Strengthen network resilience and readiness for future growth. Sourcing and Procurement Establish procurement processes focused on total cost, supplier performance, and long-term supply continuity. Build and manage supplier networks that meet quality, capacity, compliance, and technical requirements. Partner with sourcing teams to evaluate strategic suppliers, diversify supply sources, and mitigate disruption risks. Promote ethical sourcing and responsible supplier relationships. Financial and Operational Performance Own supply chain budgets, productivity targets, cost controls, cost-to-serve initiatives, and capital investment planning. Establish and monitor KPIs across cost, service, quality, safety, and inventory performance. Deliver measurable improvements in gross margin, cash flow, and customer satisfaction. Evaluate supply chain investments through financial analysis and return-on-investment assessments. People Leadership, Risk, and Sustainability Lead and develop geographically dispersed teams across multiple regions and time zones. Foster accountability, collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement. Establish business continuity plans to address supplier disruptions, global trade changes, raw material volatility, and geopolitical risks. Ensure compliance with applicable international regulatory, environmental, quality, safety, and ethical standards. Integrate sustainability and ESG considerations into sourcing, packaging, logistics, and broader supply chain operations.
