Role Description The Vice President of Procurement is a part-time, remote role responsible for leading the procurement function and ensuring strategic, cost-effective sourcing across the organization. This position oversees supplier selection, evaluates vendor performance, and drives initiatives to optimize contract terms and mitigate supply-related risks. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing procurement policies, negotiating contracts, coordinating with internal stakeholders on purchasing needs, and aligning procurement strategies with broader business objectives. The Vice President of Procurement will also design processes for supplier development, maintain strong relationships with key vendors, and collaborate with finance and operations teams to support budget and supply chain goals. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong expertise in Procurement and Supply Chain Management to oversee sourcing, purchasing, and inventory-related decisions. Candidates should possess skills in Contract Negotiation and Contract Management to secure favorable terms and manage agreements throughout their lifecycle. Candidates should possess experience in Supplier Development to assess, onboard, and enhance vendor performance and reliability. Proven leadership experience in procurement or supply chain roles, preferably in financial services, technology, or related industries. Strong analytical, budgeting, and cost-optimization skills, with the ability to use data to drive decisions. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across remote teams. Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) are a plus.
