The Opportunity WSP is looking for a strategic, entrepreneurial and people-focused leader to shape the next chapter of our Ground Engineering & Materials business across British Columbia (BC) and Yukon. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Earth & Environment, BC & Yukon, the Vice President will lead a diverse regional business spanning geotechnical engineering, materials engineering, laboratory services, field services and construction materials . The role carries accountability for the growth, performance, technical excellence and long-term health of the business. This is an opportunity to bring a fresh vision and direction to an established business with significant potential. Working with an experienced team, you will strengthen the core business while diversifying our clients, markets and services, pursuing new opportunities and building stronger connection s across WSP. As a key member of the BC & Yukon leadership team, you will shape regional strategy , drive operational performance, build stronger connections across WSP and position Ground Engineering & Materials as a trusted partner in solving our clients’ increasingly complex geotechnical engineering challenges. Identify emerging trends, evolving client needs, and new opportunities across markets, sectors, services, geographies, and client relationships. Develop and execute growth strategies that strengthen WSP’s presence and influence across BC & Yukon, fostering a curious, innovative, and client-focused culture. Lead financial and operational performance, including budgeting, revenue growth, profitability, utilization, forecasting, resource planning, and workforce deployment. Establish and monitor key performance indicators that drive accountability, operational excellence, and informed decision-making. Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality, technical, commercial, contractual, and regulatory requirements. Provide oversight of business risk and commercial performance, while serving as executive sponsor for strategic initiatives, projects, and key client opportunities. Foster an inclusive, high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, technical excellence, and professional growth. Support recruitment, retention, succession planning, and the development of future leaders while promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing across teams and regions.
