We manage multi‑vendor projects requiring strong coordination, clear communication, and reliable documentation. We are seeking a Vendor‑Manager Contractor to support vendor operations for our California project. Role Overview The Vendor‑Manager Contractor supports vendor coordination, invoice review, documentation, and project reporting. You will work closely with our internal Executive Assistant and project leadership to ensure vendors stay organized, compliant, and on schedule. This is a 1099 independent contractor role focused on operational vendor management. Key Responsibilities Vendor Coordination: Communicate with vendors regarding timelines, deliverables, and documentation needs. Invoice Review: Review vendor invoices for accuracy, scope alignment, and completeness. Vendor Documentation: Collect W‑9s, contracts, insurance certificates, and compliance documents. Project Tracking: Maintain vendor status updates, deliverable tracking, and project timelines. Coordination With Internal Team: Work with our Executive Assistant to ensure vendor information is properly documented in ERPNext. Weekly Reporting: Provide structured updates on vendor progress, pending items, and risks. Required Qualifications Experience in vendor management, project coordination, or accounts payable support Strong organizational and documentation skills Ability to manage multiple vendors and deadlines High attention to detail Experience with construction, engineering, restoration, or multi‑vendor projects preferred Must operate as a registered business entity (LLC, S‑Corp, or sole proprietor) Familiarity with ERP systems (ERPNext a plus) Compensation This is a 1099 independent contractor role paid on a monthly retainer. Final retainer amount will be determined during the interview process. Independence Requirement Contractor must operate independently, manage their own taxes, use their own tools, and control their own workflow.
