o thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys hands-on work, and is passionate about delivering exceptional service to customers. The VMIS will play a key role in managing inventory solutions, supporting customer sites, and ensuring seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Implement and support Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programs at customer locations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer personnel.
• Ensure accurate stock levels, generate orders, and obtain customer approvals when needed.
• Unpack, verify, and put away stock at customer sites; manage discrepancies.
• Maintain and troubleshoot vending equipment and on-site binning systems.
• Use company technology for order generation, tracking, and reporting.
• Develop routing plans and document daily activities using Route Scheduling System.
• Conduct customer surveys and assist in setting up new or modernized customer locations.
• Identify opportunities for revenue growth through Spot Buy programs.
• Submit customer orders using wireless technology and manage returns.
• Recycle packaging waste per site guidelines.
• Participate in special projects and additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in supply chain, process improvement, or customer service preferred.
• Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in word processing and spreadsheets.
• Ability to use handheld scanning devices and portable labeling equipment.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Basic math skills and high integrity in customer interactions.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and minimum liability insurance.
Additional Requirements
• Must be fluent in English.
• Ability to lift and move products/equipment up to 50 lbs.
• Daily travel within the district (80%+) with occasional overnight travel required.
• Comfortable working in varied customer site environments.
