Job Description: Lead and manage all production activities within the assigned value stream during the 2nd shift, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and production schedules. Direct and support a team of production associates, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to foster a highly skilled and motivated workforce. Implement and champion lean manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Standard Work, Kaizen) to identify and eliminate waste, reduce costs, and improve overall efficiency. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as safety incidents, quality defects, OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), and production output, taking corrective actions as needed. Collaborate with other shifts, departments (e.g., Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain), and management to ensure seamless operations and effective problem-solving. Conduct daily shift meetings to communicate production goals, safety updates, and address team concerns. Troubleshoot production issues and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime and maintain workflow. Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Participate in and lead continuous improvement initiatives and projects aimed at optimizing value stream performance. Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary actions in accordance with company policy. Required Skills and Education 5+ years experience in manufacturing and leading people. Availability to work 2nd shift hours (1:30pm-10pm) Experience with lean manufacturing High School Diploma required; Bachelors degree preferred. Demonstrated ability to multi-task. Good written, verbal communication and organizational skills Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint and other applications.
