About this Role: Northstar Energy Solutions is seeking a dependable and safety focused Utility Materials Technician to support fleet and field operations through the accurate receipt, storage, distribution, and transportation of materials, tools, equipment, and parts. This position plays a critical role in ensuring operational teams have the resources needed to safely and effectively complete their work. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a high sense of urgency, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Location: 3326 Hardrock Rd, Grand Prairie, TX 75050 Schedule: Monday-Friday (with occasional overtime and weekend work as needed) What You'll Do: Receive, inspect, verify, and properly store incoming shipments of materials, tools, equipment, and parts. Pull, stage, and distribute materials for fleet, field, and operational personnel. Perform local deliveries and pickups using company vehicles while adhering to all company driving policies and traffic regulations. Ensure materials and equipment are properly secured during transportation. Verify order accuracy before shipment, delivery, or issuance to field personnel. Load and unload trucks, trailers, and delivery vehicles safely and efficiently. Assist with shipping and receiving functions, including packaging, labeling, and shipment preparation. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment in accordance with company safety requirements. Support inventory management activities, including cycle counts, material organization, and stock replenishment. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and yard environment. Accurately document material receipts, deliveries, and inventory transactions. Support warehouse operations through housekeeping, organization, and other assigned tasks during periods of downtime. Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements. What You'll Bring: Strong commitment to workplace safety and operational excellence. Job Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year experience in a warehouse or materials management role supporting utility, construction, fleet, or tooling operations. Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills strongly preferred. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required. Experience operating forklifts or other material-handling equipment preferred. Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Basic computer skills and experience with inventory or warehouse systems preferred. Willingness to work overtime and weekends as business needs require. Educational/Certification Requirements: High school diploma or GED required.
