USPS Package Delivery Driver (Lecanto, FL)

Position: Package Delivery Driver – Lecanto, FL Company: Rodeway Carriers LLC Location: Lecanto, FL Job Type: Contract (1099) Schedule: Sundays and holidays only (~58 days per year) Start date: 11/1/2026 Pay: $180 per day Position Overview: Rodeway Carriers LLC is seeking a reliable contract driver for a part-time USPS highway contract PACKAGE route out of the Lecanto Post Office (HCR 344C1). This is Sundays and holidays ONLY — package delivery, not a Monday–Saturday mail route. This position supports USPS operations but is not employment with the Postal Service. Daily Responsibilities: - Report to the Lecanto Post Office on scheduled Sundays and holidays - Load and deliver packages on the assigned route - Follow USPS package scanning and delivery procedures - Maintain organization and cleanliness of the vehicle - Complete the route and return as required Vehicle & Equipment: - Driver must have their own van or minivan (cargo van, work van, or minivan). No cars, Jeeps, or pickups. - Driver also provides their own gas (there is no USPS gas card like a mail route) Compensation: - $180 per day (Sundays and holidays, PACKAGE only) - Paid once a month at the end of every month - Part-time: about 58 Sundays and holidays per year Requirements: - Valid driver’s license with clean driving record - Must have your own cargo van, work van, or minivan with enough cargo space for packages (no cars, Jeeps, or pickups) - Ability to lift and carry packages (up to 50 lbs) - Ability to work independently and stay organized - Ability to meet all requirements by the Administrative Official - Dependable and punctual on Sundays and holidays - Comfortable handling packages in all weather conditions - Strong attention to detail - Must pass a background check Preferred Qualifications: - Package delivery experience, or already working at the Lecanto Post Office (preferred, not required) - Living within about 20 miles of Lecanto and/or knows the Lecanto / Citrus County area Pay: From $180.00 per day Benefits: Paid training Application Question(s): Which Sundays and holidays are you available over the next few months?
