Used Oil Collection Route Driver, NO CDL REQUIRED

Position Summary We are seeking a dependable Used Oil Collection Route Driver, NO CDL REQUIRED to operate a collection vehicle and service commercial customers on an assigned route. The driver is responsible for the safe and efficient collection of used motor oil and related petroleum-based waste materials from automotive shops, fleet facilities, equipment operators, and other commercial generators. This is a hands-on route position requiring professional customer interaction, safe material handling, accurate documentation, and reliable completion of daily routes. Key Responsibilities Operate company collection trucks safely and professionally. Follow assigned daily collection routes and scheduled customer stops. Collect used oil from automotive shops, fleets, equipment operators, and commercial generators. Connect and operate pumps, hoses, tanks, and other collection equipment. Inspect collection equipment before and after each route. Ensure tanks, hoses, fittings, and pumps are properly secured and functioning. Prevent spills and immediately report any spill, leak, equipment failure, or environmental incident. Properly load, secure, transport, and unload collected material. Complete required manifests, collection tickets, driver logs, and customer documentation accurately. Maintain accurate records of volumes collected from each customer. Communicate professionally with customers and identify potential new collection opportunities. Notify management of changes in customer volume, contamination, access issues, or service requirements. Maintain the cleanliness and basic condition of the assigned truck and collection equipment. Follow all applicable company safety procedures and federal, state, and local environmental and transportation requirements. Assist with additional collection, transfer, loading, or facility duties as needed. Customer Service The route driver is often the primary company representative at the customer's location. The successful candidate should: Arrive within scheduled service windows. Communicate clearly and professionally with customers. Treat customer property with care. Resolve routine service issues professionally and escalate problems when necessary. Build long-term relationships with commercial accounts. Represent the company professionally at every stop. Qualifications Valid driver's license/ NO CDL REQUIRED Previous experience driving a route Experience handling used oil, petroleum products, hazardous materials, environmental services, or industrial waste is a plus. Ability to safely handle hoses, pumps, drums, tanks, and related equipment. Ability to work independently with limited direct supervision. Strong attendance and reliability. Basic ability to use a smartphone for routing, customer records, and electronic documentation. Ability to pass applicable background, driving-record, and drug/alcohol screening requirements. Physical Requirements Ability to repeatedly handle hoses and collection equipment. Ability to lift and carry equipment and materials as required. Ability to climb into and out of commercial vehicles and access customer collection areas. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to sit and drive for extended periods while completing a physically active route. Ability to safely perform occasional bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and lifting. Work Environment This position involves daily travel between commercial customer locations, collection facilities, and company operating locations. Work may involve exposure to petroleum products, outdoor conditions, industrial environments, automotive facilities, and collection equipment.
