About the team: The Marketplace Furniture Category Director leads Walmart Home Marketplace’s largest category within the Omni Furniture business. This team drives strategic initiatives to optimize assortment, sourcing, and seller performance by leveraging data and market insights. Collaborating across functions, members build strong stakeholder relationships to deliver impactful business results. The team applies supply chain expertise, business communication, and consensus decision-making to address complex challenges. Committed to continuous improvement and innovation, the team aligns strategies with organizational goals to enhance customer value and support Walmart’s marketplace growth. What you'll do: Lead strategic initiatives to develop and grow the marketplace business, aligning with organizational priorities and market trends. Collaborate cross-functionally to build strong partnerships and foster effective communication across teams and stakeholders. Utilize data analytics and financial insights to inform decision-making and drive business performance improvements. Oversee seller lifecycle management, including onboarding, performance reviews, and issue resolution to optimize marketplace operations. Drive innovation by identifying new business models and incorporating emerging products to enhance assortment and customer value. Coach and influence teams and partners to adopt best practices in negotiation, communication, and business process improvements. What you'll bring: Proven expertise in strategic business acumen with the ability to evaluate and drive initiatives that deliver meaningful return on investment. Strong communication skills to influence and build consensus across stakeholders in complex and sensitive situations. Demonstrated leadership in partnership collaboration, leading cross-functional teams and fostering productive business relationships. Proficiency in data analysis and digital literacy to leverage insights for strategic decision-making and business growth. Experience in negotiation of complex agreements and managing high-impact business risks. Ability to drive innovation, process improvements, and adapt to evolving retail trends and market conditions.
