Description

Warehousemen typically work in a warehouse setting, which may involve exposure to varying temperatures and the need to follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment. Warehousemen will be delivering heavy materials to and from the airport. The role may require working evening and weekend shifts, depending on the operational needs of the warehouse.

Performance Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Receiving and Processing Inventory: Oversee the receipt of incoming stock, ensuring that all items are checked for quality and accuracy against purchase orders.
• Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records, including tracking stock levels and conducting regular audits to identify discrepancies.
• Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring that all items are correctly labeled and securely packaged for delivery.
• Warehouse Organization: Organize and maintain the warehouse space, ensuring that all items are stored in designated areas and that the environment remains clean and safe.
• Equipment Operation: Safely operate warehouse machinery, such as forklift and pallet jacks, to move goods as needed.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other warehouse staff and supervisors to ensure smooth operations and address any issues that arise.

Qualifications and Skills

 A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required. Must have a valid driver’s license and clear driving records. Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment particularly in roles involving inventory management or order fulfillment. Must be able to lift a minimum of 70 pounds, stand for extended periods and in good stamina. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring order accuracy.
