TRUCKING SAFETY SUPERVISOR / DRIVER RECRUITER

Desert Eagle Transportation LLC – Las Vegas, NV Position: Safety Supervisor / Driver Recruiter Job Type: Full-Time | In-Office Industry: Trucking & Transportation About Us Desert Eagle Transportation is an established trucking company with approximately 50 trucks and over 20 years of experience in the transportation industry. We are looking for an experienced, organized, and motivated Safety Supervisor / Driver Recruiter to join our Las Vegas office. We need someone who can take ownership of driver recruiting, onboarding, truck assignments, and day-to-day safety and compliance operations. Key Responsibilities Driver Recruiting & Onboarding Recruit, interview, and hire qualified Class A CDL drivers. Review applications, driving records (MVR), PSP reports, and employment history. Conduct background checks and verify driver qualifications. Coordinate drug testing and Clearinghouse requirements. Complete driver qualification files and onboarding paperwork. Assign new drivers to available trucks and coordinate with dispatch. Manage driver orientation and ensure drivers are ready to start working. Maintain communication with drivers and assist with driver retention. Safety & DOT Compliance Maintain driver qualification (DQ) files and DOT compliance records. Monitor driver hours of service (HOS) and ELD compliance. Review driver violations, inspections, and safety performance. Monitor FMCSA safety scores and help improve company safety performance. Handle accident reports, investigations, and insurance documentation. Coordinate random drug and alcohol testing programs. Conduct driver safety meetings and provide ongoing safety training. Monitor CDL, medical certificate, and other required document expirations. Assist with DOT audits and compliance reviews. Daily Office Operations Work closely with dispatch, maintenance, and management. Track truck availability and coordinate driver-to-truck assignments. Follow up with drivers regarding safety issues and company policies. Maintain accurate records and ensure timely completion of paperwork. Identify problems early and take initiative to resolve them. Qualifications Previous experience in trucking safety, driver recruiting, or fleet management required. Strong knowledge of FMCSA and DOT regulations. Experience hiring and onboarding Class A CDL drivers. Familiarity with ELD systems, Clearinghouse, MVR, and driver qualification files. Strong organizational, communication, and computer skills. Ability to multitask and work independently. Must be dependable, proactive, and detail-oriented. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. What We Offer Stable, established trucking company.
