Trucking Dispatcher

Job Description: Voyager is seeking a Dispatcher (Garbage Industry Experience a plus) ,strong organization and problem-solving skills as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to manage our Fleet. Our routes are local. The ideal candidate must be able to handle all aspects of our daily operations efficiently which will include the management of drivers, scheduling, field support, maintenance. Bilingual is a must. The hours will be M-F 8am to 6pm , Saturdays 8am-12pm. This job will require some days in our Fairview location. Responsibilities include: Driver accountability Supervise scheduling and dispatch of all transportation to transfer stations and landfills. Load maximization Managing safety standards Managing and Organizing ELD Compliance HOS Compliance DVIR reporting and compliance Driver Qualification Files Bill of Lading and Manifest management Filing and organization Samsara Telematics Complete all required reports and paperwork Employee training, and discipline Oversee and manage driver check-in, pre and post trips Knowledge of DOT laws and guidelines Ensure management of the company’s independent owner operator fleet Assign duties and monitor quality of work, assure staff conforms to organizational policies and procedures as well as government regulations Oversee and manage the movement of trailers in the yard, as well as perform trailer inventory Keep up to date on overall activities of the fleet, identify problems areas and take corrective actions Willing to answer some calls after hours. Strong knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations. Experience managing vehicle maintenance programs and repair vendors. Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Experience with fleet management software, Maintenance Pro, Samsara, Microsoft Office, and transportation management systems. Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Valid driver's license required. CDL preferred but not required. Wage Range: 70000.00 - 75000.00 per year General Description of Benefits: At least 3 years experience in the waste or landfill industry or equivalent combination or required education and experience.
