We are NOT looking for an engine or diesel mechanic. Our shop does not perform engine disassembly, engine rebuilding, or internal motor repairs. We need a well-rounded technician who understands commercial trucks and trailers, can diagnose and repair various components, and is comfortable handling custom fabrication projects. Responsibilities Suspension Work: Repair, replace, and install suspension systems, hangers, bushings, torque rods, airbags, shocks, axles, and related components. Truck Modifications: Perform frame extensions, frame repairs, day cab conversions, custom installations, and structural modifications. Trailer Repairs: Repair end dumps, side dumps, belly dumps, flatbeds, lowboys, and other commercial trailers. Welding & Fabrication: Perform steel welding, cutting, grinding, reinforcement, and custom metal fabrication. Aluminum Welding: Experience with aluminum MIG and TIG welding is highly preferred. Hydraulic Systems: Install and repair PTO systems, wet kits, hydraulic cylinders, pumps, hoses, and related components. Air Systems: Diagnose and repair air leaks, air lines, valves, air suspension, and other pneumatic components. Electrical Systems: Troubleshoot and repair trailer wiring, lights, connectors, and basic truck electrical components. Structural Repairs: Repair chassis, crossmembers, kingpin plates, brackets, fenders, and damaged structural components. Custom Installations: Install accessories, toolboxes, fenders, bumpers, chrome accessories, and other truck modifications. General Repairs: Complete a variety of commercial truck and trailer repairs based on customer needs. Qualifications Previous experience working on commercial trucks, semi-trucks, or heavy-duty trailers. Strong knowledge of truck and trailer suspension systems. Basic welding skills are required. Experience with steel fabrication and structural repairs. Aluminum TIG and MIG welding experience is a major plus. Ability to use cutting torches, plasma cutters, grinders, welders, and shop equipment. Understanding of basic hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. Ability to identify problems and complete repairs with minimal supervision. Comfortable working on different types of trucks and trailers. Ability to perform quality work safely and efficiently. What We're Looking For We value technicians who are versatile, dependable, and willing to take on different projects. Our ideal candidate is someone who can work on a suspension system one day, repair an end dump trailer the next, and assist with a custom truck fabrication project afterward. We understand that not everyone knows how to perform every type of repair. However, candidates should have a solid foundation in truck and trailer work and be willing to expand their skills. Additional experience in aluminum welding, custom fabrication, and complex truck modifications will be highly valued. What We Don't Require Engine rebuilding or internal engine repairs. Engine disassembly or assembly. Advanced diesel engine diagnostics. Experience as a traditional diesel engine mechanic.
