Responsibilities Safely operate your own box truck or van, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and traffic laws Load, secure, and unload cargo using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or hand trucks Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with all safety standards Deliver goods to customers’ locations promptly while maintaining professional customer interactions Manage route driving efficiently using mobile devices for navigation and delivery updates Load and unload shipments, ensuring proper manual handling practices and safe lifting techniques are followed at all times Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and records of all transactions and vehicle inspections Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving, delivery driving, or courier services with a focus on safe manual handling practices Familiarity with warehouse operations, material handling equipment operation, and moving or heavy lifting tasks Ability to drive vehicles with manual transmission confidently and adhere to all traffic regulations Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude during deliveries Knowledge of route planning using mobile devices for efficient delivery schedules Experience operating load & unload equipment such as pallet jacks or similar tools in warehouse or delivery settings Strong understanding of DOT regulations, weight handling in the workplace, and safe lifting practices for heavy loads This role is perfect for independent drivers eager to leverage their expertise in a rewarding environment.
