Overview Join our dynamic team as a Truck Owner Operator and take charge of your driving career! Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers on over-the-road (OTR) routes, adhering to all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Manage the loading and unloading of freight, including specialized cargo such as hazardous materials, refrigerated goods, flatbed loads, or tanker shipments. Navigate efficiently using GPS systems to optimize routes and ensure timely deliveries across multiple destinations. Transport a variety of freight types—such as automobile transportation, dangerous goods, or logistics cargo—while maintaining safety and compliance at all times. Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of your truck to ensure it meets safety standards and is in optimal working condition. Load and secure cargo properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit; handle manual loading/unloading when necessary. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and compliance with FMCSA regulations. Requirements Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmission preferred. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, delivery driving, or route driving with a focus on freight handling. Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or hazardous materials regulations (Hazmat certification is a plus). Ability to handle manual handling tasks related to truck loading/unloading and cargo management. Knowledge of logistics cargo handling procedures and safety protocols for dangerous goods or hazardous materials. Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, and hazardous materials regulations to ensure full compliance during operations. Excellent navigation skills using GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning on OTR routes. Physical ability to perform manual tasks associated with truck loading/unloading and cargo securing.
