Role Description The Truck Owner Operator role at Doccelerated Freight Corp is a full-time hybrid position based in Florence, SC, with some work-from-home tasks such as scheduling, paperwork, and communication. Day-to-day responsibilities include safely operating and maintaining a personally owned commercial truck, transporting freight according to assigned routes and delivery timelines, and performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections. The role involves coordinating with dispatch, managing logs and documentation, ensuring compliance with DOT and company safety standards, and handling basic load planning. The Truck Owner Operator also manages fuel planning, minor equipment upkeep, and business-related paperwork, while maintaining professional communication with customers and the operations team. Qualifications Valid CDL (appropriate class for equipment operated) and a clean driving record, with strong knowledge of DOT regulations and road safety practices. Ownership or long-term lease of a well-maintained commercial truck suitable for regional and long-haul freight, with proof of required insurance and registration. Experience in freight hauling, route planning, and time management, including the ability to meet delivery schedules reliably. Skill in maintaining logs, handling electronic logging devices (ELDs), and completing load-related paperwork accurately and on time. Basic mechanical awareness for routine inspections and minor troubleshooting, with a commitment to proactive maintenance. Strong communication and customer service skills, including coordination with dispatch, shippers, and receivers in a professional manner. Ability to work independently, manage an owner-operator business, and use technology applications (smartphone, GPS, communication tools) effectively. Willingness to comply with all company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements; prior experience as an owner operator or commercial driver is highly beneficial.
