Truck Owner Operator

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Truck Owner Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating your own truck to transport goods across various routes, primarily focusing on over-the-road (OTR) deliveries. Specializing in flatbed hauling, you will ensure timely and safe delivery of freight while maintaining compliance with all safety regulations and company policies. This position offers the opportunity to work independently while managing your own equipment and schedule. Duties Operate your own truck on over-the-road (OTR) routes, covering long-distance transportation needs. Haul flatbed loads, ensuring secure and proper loading and unloading of cargo. Plan routes efficiently to meet delivery deadlines while optimizing fuel consumption and operational costs. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with transportation regulations. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and freight documentation in accordance with federal and state laws. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transit. Adhere strictly to safety standards, traffic laws, and company policies to ensure safe operations at all times. Perform routine maintenance checks on your truck and report any mechanical issues promptly. Requirements Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) appropriate for the type of vehicle operated. Proven experience as an owner operator or professional truck driver, preferably with flatbed hauling experience. Ability to operate trucks on long-distance routes across various states or regions. Strong knowledge of over-the-road (OTR) driving procedures, safety regulations, and compliance standards. Reliable truck with proper licensing, registration, and insurance coverage. Excellent time management skills with the ability to plan routes efficiently. Good communication skills for coordinating with clients and dispatch teams.
