Truck Mechanic Helper Job Type: Full-time Work Location: On-site Pay: Competitive, based on experience Job Description We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Truck Mechanic Helper to join our team. The successful candidate will assist our mechanics with the inspection, maintenance, and repair of trucks and trailers to ensure our fleet remains safe and in good working condition. This position is ideal for someone interested in gaining hands-on experience in heavy-duty truck and trailer maintenance. Key Responsibilities Assist mechanics with the maintenance and repair of heavy-duty trucks and trailers. Help inspect vehicles to identify mechanical issues and potential problems. Assist with oil changes, lubrication, brake repairs, and other routine maintenance tasks. Help install, remove, and replace vehicle parts and components under the supervision of a mechanic. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop. Use tools and equipment safely and responsibly. Assist with preparing vehicles for maintenance and repairs. Follow workplace safety procedures and instructions from senior mechanics. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications and Requirements Previous experience in a truck repair shop or mechanical environment is an asset but not required. Basic knowledge of mechanical tools and equipment is preferred. Willingness to learn heavy-duty truck and trailer maintenance. Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team. Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
