Truck Driver/Warehouse Worker Float

HEISTER HOUSE MILLWORKS, INC. DELIVERY ROUTE TRUCK DRIVER/WAREHOUSE WORKER Summary - Receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products within establishments by performing the following duties. Drives truck or van over established route to deliver building materials and helps in the warehouse when needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities – CDL A Preferred Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed. Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas. Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code. Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to production workers or assembly line. Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department. Marks materials with identifying information. Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed. Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards. Arranges stock parts in specified sequence for assembly by other workers. Uses computer to enter records. Compiles worksheets or tickets from customer specifications. Drives vehicle to transport stored items from warehouse to plant or to pick up items from several locations for shipment. Completes requisition forms to order supplies from other plant departments. Maintains inventory records. Drives truck to deliver building materials to customer place of business or customer job sites. Delivers materials to correct shipping address and/or point on map. Has customer sign delivery ticket – give customer copy to them and bring our copy back to the office. If customer is not able to sign, driver initials and dates shipping ticket. Listens to customer complaints. Collects or picks up racks and/or rejected product. Loads truck, if needed. Cleans inside of truck. Reports any maintenance issues to Supervisor. Other duties may be assigned.
