Position Overview The Driver/Warehouse Associate is a delivery-first role responsible for safely and efficiently delivering HVAC equipment, parts, and supplies to customers throughout cfm Distributors Inc.’s Omaha and surrounding service area. Approximately 75-90% of this position will be spent driving and making customer deliveries, with the remaining time supporting warehouse operations based on branch needs. This position will operate a non-CDL vehicle, including a 26-foot box truck, and must be comfortable loading, securing, transporting, and unloading HVAC equipment and materials at customer locations and job sites. When not on a delivery route, this team member is expected to work wherever needed in the warehouse, including picking and staging orders, receiving inbound shipments, stocking product, operating material-handling equipment, and helping maintain a safe and organized branch. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Customer Deliveries: Safely and accurately deliver HVAC equipment, parts, and supplies to customer locations and job sites while providing professional, friendly service. 26-Foot Box Truck Operation: Safely operate company delivery vehicles, including a 26-foot non-CDL box truck, in local and regional traffic, parking areas, commercial properties, residential areas, and active job sites. Vehicle Safety & Inspections: Promptly report maintenance, safety, or equipment concerns and follow all company driving and vehicle-safety policies. Loading & Load Securement: Verify orders before departure and safely load, position, and secure equipment and materials to prevent shifting or damage during transport. Unloading at Customer Sites: Safely unload equipment and materials using appropriate equipment and proper lifting techniques, confirming product condition and delivery location with the customer. Delivery Documentation: Maintain accurate delivery tickets, signatures, returns, transfer paperwork, and other required documentation; promptly communicate shortages, damages, refusals, or delivery issues. Route Execution: Follow assigned routes and delivery priorities, communicate delays or customer issues, and help the branch complete deliveries accurately and on time. Customer Service: Represent cfm Distributors Inc. professionally at every customer interaction and communicate clearly with customers, contractors, branch personnel, and sales teams. Warehouse Flexibility: When not driving, assist wherever needed in warehouse operations, including picking, packing, staging, and checking customer orders. Receiving & Stocking: Assist with unloading large inbound deliveries, verifying quantities and product condition, receiving material, and stocking product in designated locations. Material Handling: Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, stackers, hand trucks, and other warehouse or delivery equipment as trained and authorized. Inventory Accuracy: Support cycle counts, transfers, returns, and organized storage practices; promptly report inventory discrepancies.
