This is a physically demanding driving position involving hands-on unloading of retail merchandise at store locations. Pay & Compensation Weekly Earnings: $1,600–$1,900 Mileage Pay: $1.10 per mile Unloading Pay: $270 per load Stop Pay: $17 per stop Average Weekly Mileage: Approximately 1,000 miles Consistent dedicated freight opportunities Additional earnings through mileage, unloading, and stop compensation Position Overview Position: CDL-A Dedicated Regional Truck Driver Location: Berwick, PA Employment Type: Full-Time Freight Type: Dry Van Routes: Dedicated Regional Experience: Recent CDL Graduates & Experienced Drivers Home Time: Weekly Schedule: Day and Night Driving Freight Handling: Full Hand Unload Home Time & Schedule Home every week Daytime and nighttime driving assignments No deliveries on Thanksgiving or Christmas Other holiday schedules depend on customer operations Home-time arrangements coordinated with dispatch Drivers must be comfortable with nighttime deliveries Freight & Unloading Details Dry van retail freight Full hand unloading required Loads may contain 5,000+ individual pieces Live unloading at store locations Physical handling of boxes and merchandise Some delivery locations require backing into tight spaces Drivers must be comfortable with physically demanding deliveries Driver Responsibilities Safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer on assigned dedicated routes Transport retail freight to designated Dollar Tree locations Physically unload merchandise at delivery stops Handle large-volume freight safely and efficiently Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records Follow DOT regulations and company safety procedures Communicate with dispatch regarding delivery schedules and route updates Safely maneuver equipment into tight delivery locations Complete deliveries accurately and on schedule Driver Qualifications Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A) No previous professional driving experience required for qualified trainees Recent CDL graduates are welcome Experienced CDL-A drivers are encouraged to apply No additional endorsements required Must meet applicable DOT safety and qualification requirements Acceptable motor vehicle record Must be physically capable of unloading 5,000+ pieces of freight Why Consider This Opportunity?
