Truck Driver / Mechanic Company: Landscape Supply & Rental Company Employment Type: Full-Time or Part-Time, Depending on Experience Reports to: David McCord Position Summary Landscape Supply & Rental Company is seeking a dependable and hardworking Truck Driver / Mechanic to assist with deliveries, equipment maintenance, and daily operations. This position involves transporting rental equipment and landscape products to customers and job sites, along with performing routine maintenance and mechanical repairs on company vehicles and equipment. Full-time or part-time opportunities are available depending on the candidate's experience and qualifications. Key Responsibilities Driving & Deliveries Safely transport and deliver rental equipment, landscape materials, and other products to customers and job sites. Load, secure, and unload equipment and materials safely and efficiently. Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Coordinate deliveries and pickups to ensure timely service. Maintain a professional and courteous attitude when interacting with customers. Follow all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety procedures. Mechanical & Equipment Maintenance Perform routine maintenance and repairs on company trucks, trailers, rental equipment, and machinery. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues. Conduct preventive maintenance to keep vehicles and equipment operating safely and efficiently. Inspect rental equipment before and after use to identify damage or maintenance needs. Maintain organized tools, equipment, and work areas. Communicate repair needs and equipment concerns to management. General Responsibilities Assist with loading, unloading, and organizing landscape materials and rental equipment. Support daily yard operations as needed. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Requirements Valid North Carolina Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required. Clean driving record. Experience driving trucks and hauling trailers or equipment preferred. Mechanical experience with trucks, small engines, hydraulics, or heavy equipment preferred. Ability to safely operate and secure rental equipment. Strong work ethic, dependability, and attention to safety. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication and customer service skills. Ability to perform physical labor and work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Work Environment This position involves a combination of driving, equipment maintenance, and outdoor work. Daily responsibilities will vary based on delivery schedules, equipment needs, and business operations. Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 45.0 per week Work Location: In person
