Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmission across local delivery routes, adhering to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards Load and unload freight, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or hazardous materials, following proper manual handling procedures and safety protocols Use GPS navigation systems to plan efficient routes and ensure timely deliveries within your designated local area Transport various types of freight such as refrigerated goods, dangerous goods, or automobile transportation items with precision and care Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with all trucking regulations Maintain accurate delivery logs, shipment documentation, and cargo handling records in accordance with logistics requirements Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly Qualifications Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmission preferred Proven experience in commercial truck driving, delivery driving or route driving within a local setting Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for transporting dangerous goods Experience operating refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers or tractor-trailers in a logistics environment Ability to manually handle cargo safely during loading/unloading processes while following safety guidelines Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route planning for efficient local deliveries Strong understanding of truck loading/unloading procedures and freight handling techniques Join us today to be part of a dedicated team committed to safe driving practices and exceptional service!
