Job Description: Truck Driver / General Laborer Job Purpose: Estelline Coop Grain has an exciting opportunity available supporting our location in Estelline, SD as a Truck Driver & General Laborer. We are looking for a qualified individual to drive truck and provide general labor across all of our Ag department’s, handling and distributing Ag products and providing service for customers in our area. This position is responsible for handling and delivery of Ag products including Grain, Seed, Feed, Chemicals, Fertilizer, etc. You will be responsible for driving straight and combination trucks, driving pickups pulling trailers, operating forklifts, skid steer, tractors and other equipment, as well as loading, unloading, inventory management, delivery and maintenance throughout all of our Ag departments. This is a Full-Time position with typical peak times during the Spring planting season and the Fall harvest season. This position requires cross training and work across multiple departments performing work as the business requires. This position requires a person who can work in many different areas and contribute in many different ways including; handling and distributing Ag products and services, company facility/vehicle/equipment cleaning and upkeep, delivery, warehouse management, automotive work (tires, batteries, oil changes, repairs), mowing/snow removal/grounds-keeping, supporting company marketing and functions, etc. To be successful with this opportunity a person must; have excellent communication, organization and time management skills, exhibit a high level of personal and professional integrity, be able to work with limited direct supervision, pay close attention to detail, be very personable, have an excellent driving record and be committed to safety and customer service. Job Responsibilities: - Drive straight or combination truck/trailer, pickups with trailers and operate other heavy machinery as needed. - Handling, distribution and inventory management of; crop protection, crop nutrients, seed, feed and grain products. - Prep Delivery Trucks, Load and Deliver product to customers in a safe, timely, and professional manner. - Ensure all products, service and deliveries are documented accurately and processed in a timely manner. - Ensure on time delivery and communicate with customers or vendors if delays occur. - Basic warehouse duties: vehicle/equipment/building maintenance, run forklift and other equipment, lift/stack/organize products. - Clean facilities when needed, provide grounds-keeping, snow moving, flatwork, mowing, seeding, fertilizing, trenching, etc. - Work with customers and employees in a courteous and professional manner. - Perform other related duties as needed or assigned. Assist in all departments as needed. Job Requirements: - Employee Standard hours: 8:00am to 4:30pm M-F. - Must be willing to work flexible hours during peak times (6-7 days per week, 10-14hrs per day, depending upon weather, etc.). - Overtime is paid outside of normal working hours for hourly staff and is mandatory at times during peak periods. - High School diploma or GED required, secondary degree in Agronomy, Energy, Business or related field preferred. - Valid Class A CDL with air brakes, combination and doubles is required, hazmat endorsement preferred. - Ability to pass DOT drug test is required. - Must comprehend basic measurements and calculations for c…
