Responsibilities Safely operate commercial trucks including DRY VANS tractor-trailers, or refrigerated trailers, or flatbeds, and or tankers across over-the-road (OTR) routes Load and unload freight efficiently while following proper manual handling procedures and logistics cargo handling protocols Navigate using GPS systems to ensure timely deliveries while complying with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards Transport hazardous materials (hazmat) and dangerous goods following hazardous materials regulations and safety guidelines Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations Manage delivery schedules by route planning, ensuring accurate delivery of freight to various destinations Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, cargo documentation, and inspection reports in accordance with FMCSA regulations Qualifications Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving with a focus on freight transportation Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements for hazardous materials (Hazmat), tanker, or other specialized loads as applicable Demonstrated ability to operate manual transmission trucks safely and effectively Knowledge of truck loading and unloading procedures, including freight handling for refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, or tanker trucks Familiarity with GPS navigation systems for efficient routing on over-the-road routes Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for truck driving Experience with automobile transportation or transporting specialty cargo is a plus Ability to handle manual handling tasks safely while adhering to safety protocols for load & unload operations This role is ideal for motivated drivers eager to showcase their expertise in commercial trucking while contributing to a reliable logistics network.
