Truck Driver
ConfidentialOverview Keep freight moving safely and reliably as a Truck Driver. You’ll operate commercial trucks on local deliveries and over-the-road (OTR) routes, using GPS navigation to follow assigned routes and meet delivery requirements. Depending on the equipment and cargo, work may involve a tractor-trailer, refrigerated trailer, flatbed, tanker, or automobile transportation. Your impact: Careful driving and cargo handling help customers receive their freight safely and on schedule. Responsibilities Drive commercial vehicles, including manual-transmission trucks, while following applicable Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations. Complete delivery driving and route driving assignments; inspect vehicles and report safety or equipment concerns. Load and unload freight, secure cargo, and perform manual handling as needed. Handle logistics cargo and, when assigned, dangerous goods in compliance with hazardous materials regulations. Use GPS navigation, maintain required trip and delivery records, and communicate route or delivery issues promptly. Experience Commercial truck driving, commercial driving, truck driving, or delivery driver experience is preferred. Experience with tractor-trailers, freight, and over-the-road routes is helpful. Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or automobile transportation is an asset; assignments depend on operational needs. Ability to safely load and unload cargo and perform manual handling. Hazmat (hazardous materials) experience or knowledge is preferred; applicable duties require compliance with dangerous goods and hazardous materials regulations.
