As a truck driver, you will operate commercial trucks and tractor-trailers on over-the-road (OTR) routes, transport freight safely, and ensure timely deliveries. Improved Safe Driving Bonuses Earn more for driving safely and maintaining a violation-free record! Level 1: $1,000 bonus Level 2: $500 bonus Level 3: $300 bonus Bonus eligibility, qualification requirements, and payment terms are subject to company policy. 2. Flexible Home-Time Options We understand the importance of balancing work and home life. Our home-time options are designed to give drivers flexibility based on the length of their time on the road. 4 Weeks Over the Road: After four weeks on the road, no more than three days of home time. 5+ Weeks Over the Road: Drivers returning after five or more weeks will bring the truck back to our yard for home time. TUNDRA TRUCKING will cover a one-way flight and transportation from home to the office, subject to company policy. 8+ Weeks Over the Road: Drivers returning after eight or more weeks can enjoy home time with the company covering round-trip flights and transfers, subject to company policy. Job Responsibilities Operate commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, safely and professionally. Complete assigned OTR routes, deliveries, and transportation assignments. Use GPS navigation and route-planning tools to reach destinations efficiently. Load, unload, inspect, and secure freight as required. Inspect vehicles and cargo before, during, and after trips, and report maintenance or safety concerns. Maintain accurate delivery records and communicate with dispatch regarding routes, schedules, and delivery issues. Follow all applicable Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), Department of Transportation (DOT), and company safety requirements. Handle hazardous materials or dangerous goods only when properly authorized and assigned. Maintain a clean driving record and follow safe driving practices to qualify for applicable safety bonuses. Required Qualifications Must have a valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License). Experience operating commercial trucks and tractor-trailers. Knowledge of safe commercial driving practices and applicable DOT and FMCSA regulations. Ability to safely handle freight, secure cargo, and complete required vehicle inspections. Ability to use GPS navigation and follow assigned routes. Ability to operate a manual transmission when required. Commitment to safe driving, reliable attendance, and professional conduct. Preferred Qualifications Previous delivery driving or OTR trucking experience. Experience with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or automobile transportation. Experience handling hazardous materials or dangerous goods, with the appropriate endorsements when required. Strong communication, time-management, and cargo-handling skills.
