Truck Driver / Donations Coordinator

Essential Job Functions Essential functions are those tasks, duties and responsibilities that comprise the means of accomplishing the job’s purpose and objectives. Following are the essential functions of the job. Donation Pickup & Store Support · Unload donated items and move them safely to the appropriate receiving or processing areas · Assist with moving and staging furniture, appliances, and other large items · Provide customer carry-out assistance and support receiving operations as needed Truck Operation & Safety · Operate the ReStore truck safely and comply with traffic laws and organizational procedures · Share driving and truck duties with other employees assigned to the route · Communicate vehicle, safety, scheduling, and donor concerns promptly to ReStore management · Complete assigned donation pickups and deliveries efficiently and safely Donation Handling & Donor Service · Travel to scheduled donation pickup and delivery locations and communicate pickup details with donors · Evaluate donations against ReStore acceptance guidelines and communicate respectfully about items that cannot be accepted · Provide professional, courteous service to donors and customers · Load, lift, move, and secure donated goods using safe handling practices and appropriate equipment · Protect donated items from damage during loading, transport, and unloading · Work with other truck team members to handle large furniture, appliances, and other heavy items · Unload and deliver donations to designated ReStore receiving areas · Maintain a clean, orderly truck and work area and report any equipment concerns Mental and Emotional Requirements __X__ Handles multiple priorities __X__ Independent discretion/decision making __X__ Makes decisions under pressure __X__ Manages anger/fear/hostility effectively and professionally __X__ Manages stress appropriately __X__ Works alone effectively __X__ Works in close proximity to others and/or in a distracting environment __X__ Works with others effectively __X__ Maintains boundaries with customers, other staff members and families Job Type: Full-time Pay: $16.50 - $18.50 per hour Benefits: Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Application Question(s): Background Check Work Location: In person
