Truck Driver

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating heavy-duty trucks over long distances, primarily on over-the-road (OTR) routes. This role requires strict adherence to DOT regulations and handling specialized cargo, including hazardous materials and tanker loads. The Truck Driver will play a vital role in ensuring timely delivery while maintaining the highest safety standards. Duties Operate trucks on over-the-road (OTR) routes, traveling across various regions to deliver goods efficiently and safely. Comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, including hours of service, vehicle maintenance, and safety protocols. Transport hazardous materials (hazmat) in accordance with federal and state regulations, ensuring proper handling and documentation. Drive tanker trucks when required, managing the transportation of liquid or bulk cargo with precision and care. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and readiness. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle condition as mandated by DOT standards. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered during routes. Adhere to all safety procedures to prevent accidents or cargo damage during transit. Qualifications Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for hazmat and tanker operations. Proven experience operating large trucks on long-distance routes, preferably with OTR driving background. Knowledge of DOT regulations related to commercial vehicle operation, hours of service, and safety standards. Experience handling hazardous materials (hazmat) transportation in compliance with federal regulations. Ability to operate tanker trucks safely and efficiently under various conditions. Strong attention to detail for vehicle inspections, documentation, and compliance requirements. Excellent communication skills for coordination with dispatchers and clients. Physical ability to perform the duties required for long hours on the road and handling cargo as needed.
