Truck Driver

Overview Join our team as a Truck Driver and keep freight moving safely and reliably. You’ll operate commercial trucks on local deliveries and over-the-road (OTR) driving routes, using GPS navigation to follow assigned routes and meet delivery requirements. Depending on the load, you may drive a tractor-trailer, refrigerated trailer, flatbed, tanker, or automobile transportation equipment. Duties Drive commercial vehicles safely and complete delivery driving and route driving assignments. Inspect vehicles and secure freight before departure; report equipment or load concerns. Load and unload cargo, using safe manual handling practices and appropriate equipment. Follow Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, including applicable hazardous materials and dangerous goods requirements. Maintain accurate delivery and trip records and communicate route or schedule changes. Your impact: Safe driving and careful cargo handling help customers receive freight in good condition and on schedule. Skills Required: Valid commercial driving qualifications appropriate to the assigned vehicle and routes; safe truck driving and commercial truck driving practices. Required: Ability to operate a manual transmission and perform physical tasks involved in truck loading and unloading. Preferred: Delivery driver experience, freight or logistics cargo handling, and experience with OTR routes. Preferred: Experience with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or automobile transportation. Preferred: Hazmat experience and familiarity with hazardous materials regulations.
