Truck Driver Class A (Seasonal)

Position Title : Truck Driver – Class A Reports To : Logistics Manager __________________________________________________________________________________________ Position Summary Drive and operate trucks. Follow instruction; pre-inspect truck, pick up good and materials, verify loads for accuracy, and deliver them as instructed. Must be able to work closely with others, have a good work ethic and be willing to work within a flexible schedule. Essential Duties and Responsibilities · Communicates and coordinating with dispatchers. · Obey and follow applicable traffic laws. · New Hire training including on-going training. · Maintain a clean and safe work environment. · Able to transport loads safe and as well meeting delivery schedules. · Long and local distance driving · Keep commercial driver license up to date. · Ensuring any mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected before driving. · Other duties as needed. Qualifications · Must have a positive attitude with customers and coworkers. · Able to follow directions, instructions & protocols consistently. · Good teamwork, effective communication skills and able to work cross functionally. · Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situation (traffic, weather conditions etc.) · Willing to submit to background / drug checks and provide prior employment reference. · Must pass drug and alcohol test. · No recent moving or driving violation. · Maintain an updated electronic logbook of working hours in compliance with state and federal regulations. Experience and Education · One year + experience as a Truck driver · Valid Class A CDL · Bilingual (English/Spanish) required · Current medical record Working Conditions: Working conditions described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally. Any specialized tools needed for specific equipment on site, will be provided by the company and are to remain on site in the company toolbox.
