Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmission across local routes, adhering strictly to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trailers and equipment to ensure vehicle safety and compliance. Navigate efficiently using GPS systems to reach delivery points on time while optimizing route planning for maximum efficiency. Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, cargo details, and delivery documentation in accordance with safety standards. Communicate professionally with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery statuses, or any issues encountered during trips. Experience Proven experience in commercial truck driving, especially with tractor-trailers. Valid Class A CDL license with a clean driving record. Knowledge of GPS navigation systems and route planning software to ensure timely deliveries. Prior delivery driver experience involving freight handling and route driving within logistics environments. Understanding of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), and hazardous materials regulations to ensure compliance at all times..
