Truck Driver Class A/B PART TIME

Statt Paving Inc. – Gates, NY About Us Statt Paving Inc. is a small, family-oriented asphalt maintenance company based in Gates, NY. We provide full-service asphalt and site maintenance work throughout the area. Position Description We are currently seeking a Company Driver (Class A or Class B) to join our team. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, and capable of working independently while taking responsibility for their assigned truck and equipment. IF PART TIME APPLICANT, WE WOULD PICK 2-3 DAYS A WEEK TO WORK. Drivers will be responsible for transporting materials, operating dump trucks, and supporting job site operations as needed. This position may involve light physical work when not driving. Year-round work may be available for candidates who are mechanically inclined or have experience operating front-end loaders and salt trucks during winter operations. Responsibilities Safely operate and maintain company dump trucks and transport vehicles Haul materials such as asphalt, stone, and aggregate to and from job sites Be familiar with asphalt plants, stone pits, and material loading procedures Load and unload equipment when needed and properly secure equipment for transport Perform daily truck inspections and basic upkeep Keep assigned vehicle clean and maintained Communicate with dispatch, team members, and customers when required Assist with minor job site tasks when not driving Requirements Valid NYS Class A or Class B CDL Clean driving record/ FMSCA CLEARING HOUSE Experience operating dump trucks or similar equipment Ability to work independently and responsibly manage assigned equipment Basic familiarity with GPS and cell phone communication Reliable transportation to and from work Strong attendance and punctuality Positive attitude and ability to work well with others Compensation Class A Drivers: Starting at $25/hour , experienced drivers can earn up to $30/hour Class B Drivers: Starting at $25/hour , experienced drivers can earn up to $27.50/hour Competitive pay based on experience and reliability Opportunity for year-round work for candidates with additional equipment or mechanical skills Disclaimer This job description is not intended to cover every aspect of the position.
