Truck Driver - Class 1

Job Overview We are seeking 1-2 dedicated Class 1 Truck Drivers to join our team. 1 driver position will be dedicated to only hauling cattle. The other will be a blend of hauling grain, bales, equipment. Responsibilities Safely operate Class 1 trucks to transport freight over long and short distances, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle. Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as tractors/payloaders when necessary, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo. Perform minor repairs or troubleshooting as needed to ensure vehicle safety and operational readiness. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and mechanical team. Operate heavy equipment safely when required for loading or unloading freight at various sites. Qualifications Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record. Proven experience in driving, preferably with agricultural background. For the cattle driver position experience with livestock is an asset. Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as loader tractor/payloader, loading/unloading bales and equipment. Mechanically inclined, (identify problems, fix minor issues if needed). Strong understanding of safety protocols related to heavy trucks and agricultural equipment. Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while maintaining a proactive safety mindset. Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with team members and clients.
