Truck Driver - Class 1

Duties Safely operate Class 1 commercial trucks to transport freight to designated locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Load and unload freight using forklifts and other heavy equipment, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo. Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles, checking for mechanical issues, safety features, and compliance with regulations. Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, and freight manifests for each trip. Perform routine vehicle maintenance or coordinate repairs with automotive repair specialists to keep trucks in optimal condition. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly. Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment as needed for loading, unloading, or warehouse tasks. Qualifications Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Proven experience in commercial driving and freight transportation. Ability to operate forklifts, heavy equipment, and perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting. Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation and freight handling. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation and compliance. Physical ability to lift heavy loads, stand for extended periods, and perform manual tasks as required. Nice-to-have skills include forklift certification, experience with freight logistics, or familiarity with automotive repair processes.
