Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a CDL A Truck Driver, specializing in local routes with early morning shifts and weekly pay. This energetic role offers a fantastic opportunity to operate tractor-trailers across various routes, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers. You’ll be the backbone of our logistics operation, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Duties Safely operate commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers with manual transmissions, on local delivery routes during early morning shifts. Load and unload freight efficiently, ensuring cargo is secured properly in refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, or tankers. Navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery times and maintain schedule integrity. Transport goods such as hazardous materials (hazmat), dangerous goods, or refrigerated freight while complying with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with safety standards. Manage logistics cargo handling, including documentation and proper load securing techniques for over-the-road (OTR) driving routes when applicable. Maintain accurate delivery logs, delivery receipts, and compliance records in accordance with FMCSA regulations. Requirements Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial truck driving preferred. Proven experience in delivery driving, route driving, or freight transportation involving manual handling of cargo. Knowledge of hazardous materials regulations and the safe handling of dangerous goods is a plus. Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently and handle truck loading/unloading tasks efficiently. Familiarity with GPS navigation systems for route planning and execution. Strong understanding of DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and FMCSA safety standards. Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, manual handling skills for cargo management, and adherence to all safety protocols.
