Duties Operate tri-axle dump truck adhering to all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation . Load and unload freight safely, managing logistics cargo handling for various types of cargo including hazardous materials and dangerous goods. Transport automobile transportation and other specialized freight while maintaining the integrity of the load throughout the journey. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, including checking manual transmissions, hazardous materials regulations, and truck loading/unloading procedures. Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports in compliance with safety standards. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams to coordinate route driving plans and handle any unforeseen issues on the road. Requirements Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements for hazardous materials (Hazmat), tanker, or other specialized loads preferred. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, delivery driving, or freight transportation with a focus on route driving. Familiarity with dump trucks. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, hazardous materials regulations, DOT rules, and safety standards for manual handling and truck loading/unloading. Ability to operate trucks with manual transmission confidently and safely over long distances. Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling processes and truck driving best practices. Excellent navigation skills using GPS systems to optimize routes efficiently. Physical ability to load/unload freight manually when required and handle heavy cargo safely.
