In this energetic role, you will operate a 2022 Kenworth T680 that has a 53 foot frigerated trailer doing dry and reefer loads, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, route planning, and cargo handling will drive our logistics operations forward. Duties Safely operate trucks equipped with manual or automatic transmissions across over-the-road (OTR) routes, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Load and unload freight using proper manual handling techniques, managing logistics cargo handling for various types of cargo. Navigate efficiently using GPS navigation systems to follow optimized delivery routes while adjusting for traffic or road conditions. Maintain accurate documentation for each shipment, including delivery logs, inspection reports, and compliance paperwork related to hazardous materials regulations. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure trucks are in optimal condition; perform basic troubleshooting or coordinate repairs when necessary. Ensure all deliveries are completed on time with professionalism and customer service excellence while adhering strictly to FMCSA regulations and safety protocols. Skills Proven experience and newly obtained CDL A license in commercial truck driving with a focus on route driving, delivery driving, and truck loading/unloading procedures. Some kowledge of truck types such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, refrigerated trailers, and their specific handling requirements. Familiarity with GPS navigation tools and route planning for efficient OTR routes. Ability to handle automatic trasmission trucks and perform manual handling tasks safely during load & unload activities. Knowledge of DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations governing commercial driving hours, safety standards, and vehicle maintenance. Excellent driving skills with a clean record; experience in freight management and logistics cargo handling is highly desirable.
