Duties Safely operate straight truck on local routes, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards Navigate using GPS systems to follow efficient delivery routes and adapt to changing traffic conditions Load and unload containers safely on and off residential and commercial properties. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, including checking for hazardous materials regulations compliance. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules, route updates, or any issues encountered during transit Requirements Valid commercial driver’s license Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving safety. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations Experience operating a large truck with a history of safe driving.
